For years, my dog has eaten blue buffalo wilderness red meat dog food. I want to transition her to the senior food. It is the same brand, same flavor as her current food. Do I need to slowly wean her or am I ok to make the switch at once?

We recommend making a gradual transition over 7 - 10 days to help avoid possible digestive upset in sensitive pets. Add a small amount of new food to your dog's previous diet, gradually increasing the new and decreasing the previous diet until the transition is complete.
What is the difference between this food and Blue Buffalo Wilderness Senior Chicken Recipe Grain- Free Dry Dog Food?

This formula contains red meats compared to the chicken formula. The guaranteed analysis will also differ based on the ingredients each one contains.
Why does it say guaranteed no chicken but in the nutrition information the second ingredient is chicken meal?

Blue Buffalo guarantees there is no Chicken by-product meal, it is different than Chicken meal. Chicken meal is the dry rendered product from a combination of clean chicken flesh and skin with or without accompanying bone, derived from whole carcasses of chicken, exclusive of feathers, heads, feet and entrails.
